Residential building professionals are invited to the Ci Live Training Center in Denver, Colorado, on November 29-30, 2023, for a comprehensive training event. The Xcel Energy ZERH and NextGen Builder Training, presented by Construction Instruction and the Energy & Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA), will equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to construct high-performance zero energy ready homes and Energy Star NextGen homes.
Day One - Zero Energy Ready Home Version 2 Training:
Day one of the event will focus on the Zero Energy Ready Home Version 2 Training, exploring advanced wall systems, high-performance mechanical systems, and the integration of renewable energy. Participants will learn to select cost-effective materials and technologies to design, model, and construct homes that consume only as much energy as they produce throughout the year. Emphasis will be on finding practical solutions tailored to specific climate zones. AIA: 7 LU|HSW

Day Two - ENERGY STAR NextGen Certification Program:
Day two will introduce the new ENERGY STAR NextGen Certification Program, offering an additional level of recognition for homes that go above and beyond the core ENERGY STAR Residential New Construction Program requirements. It also incorporates advanced electric technologies that contribute to building a cleaner energy future.
Throughout the two-day course, attendees will engage in hands-on exercises, case studies, and discussions to gain practical expertise. By the end of the training, participants will be empowered to confidently meet the ZERH Program and NextGen Certification Program requirements.
