About the Builder - Medallion Homes

"Our commitment is to deliver value to your family through energy-efficient products, materials and building practices." Medallion Homes was founded on this statement in 1995. Since then, they have built beautifully crafted, environmentally friendly homes for hundreds of happy home-owners. Medallion Homes strives to lead the nation in building science technology.

Medallion Homes was recently named the Energy Value Housing Award "Builder of the Year 2000" for its building science practices. This award recognizes Medallion’s commitment to systems thinking. The award is unique in the building industry because it recognizes the builder who best demonstrates a commitment to home-owners in the areas of monthly utility bill savings plus superior indoor air quality and comfort.

Today, because they continue to implement new building science practices and techniques, Medallion Homes is one of the fastest growing companies in San Antonio and one of the most respected home-builders in the United States. Their dedication to environmentally friendly building practices means they can offer homebuyers unprecedented features, thanks to advances in building science.

Design Philosophy and Application

Medallion Homes has made it a goal to save their customers money by reducing monthly utility bills while maintaining proper indoor air quality. They were the first San Antonio builder to become an Energy Star Builder and the first to partake in the Building America Program through the IBACOS consortium. Medallion has also received the Good Cents Environmental Home designation for building energy-efficient and environmentally friendly homes. Homes in this Good Cents program are rated on energy efficiency, new-home design, construction practices, building materials, water efficiency, and community planning.
