How are credits applied to each module? An individual course may contribute credits to more than one module. For example: A Houses That Work session is worth 8-credits. Of those 8 credits, 2 credits are applied to each of the following modules: Building Science, Operation & Maintenance, Envelope & Interior Structure, and Mechanical Systems. If a course is worth a single credit, it may not be split between modules. Of the 100 credits required a total of 95 credits are expected from classroom or online courses with the remaining 5 credits to be earned through field experience. Can I receive professional CEU credits through the EEBA Institute?Institute courses can qualify for professional CEUs in cooperation with professional organizations such as the National Association of Realtors (NAR), American Institute of Architecture (AIA), Home Energy Rater Certification, the American Lung Association’s Health House Project and others. All Houses That Work classes and Excellence in Building Conference sessions qualify for CEU credits. Check specific courses or conference for qualifying CEUs. Through an educational partnership with distance learning specialists BuildIQ, Institute courses are offered on-line. Because of its availability 24/7, the courses are an attractive alternative.
