"To keep a bucket full of water you either need to find an additional
source of water or fill the holes in the bucket.”
---Joseph Lstiburek, Special Session, October 9, 2007
Attendees
of the 2007 Excellence in Building Conference left being inspired and
motivated to continue the work started by the pioneers of the EEBA
organization 25 years ago. From the call to action of Oliver Drerup’s
opening session to Scott Sedam’s wrap up session on how other’s are
going green by getting lean, the conference was a celebration of what
has been accomplished and offered a challenge for what is yet to be
done. Author Sarah Susanka thoughtfully provided a blueprint for doing
the right thing in a growing market place that is seeking a home as a
retreat. Her presentation highlighted the importance of sustainable
design and construction as a means of assisting the homeowner in
successfully test driving the “home of their dreams”.
Over 40 sessions were offered during the 3-day conference. And as is
traditional of EEBA conferences, multiple “mini-sessions” were held in
the hallways and social events of the conference as over 500 attendees
took advantage of this networking opportunity. Formal session
presentations are being collected and will be posted on this web site as
they are received over the next few weeks, so please check back often.
On behalf of the EEBA Board of Directors and Staff we wish to say THANK
YOU sponsors, exhibitors, presenters and attendees! We look forward to
seeing you next year in Phoenix, Arizona.
Thank you to our Sponsors
